Anyone know how to book Latakia - Famagusta ferry? Please help

Hello!



I have a few questions, if anyone could answer all or one of them I would hugely appreciate it as I am based in the UK and not very familiar with Cyprus.



1) Is it easy today to travel between South and North Cyprus without any problems?



2) Are there good bus or train links between Southern and Northern Cyprus?



3) My partner and I would also like to visit Syria and I hear there is a ferry between Famagusta and Latakia.

Is this correct? How much is it? What days does it opperate? Is there a website to book on?



4) Is a visa required to travel to Syria for European citizens?

1. Yes if you have an EU passport.

2. There are no trains, but I think some taxi companies will run you over to the south in minibuses and all that.

I don't know the rest, I would also be interested as I'd like to visit Damascus one day.

I know you can fly from Larnaca to Syria and also by boat from Limassol if that helps.

There is a ferry from Famagusta to Syria and you buy tickets just outside the port area - it is signposted or just ask the port security polis. You get the visa on docking at Syria, takes about 40 mins. Sorry, can't tell you what the fare is, or what day they sail - used to be thursdays
