| ARCHBISHOP Desmond Tutu yesterday urged the head of the Cyprus Church, Archbishop Chrysostomos, to play the role of Saint Barnabas in Cyprus and “facilitate” efforts for a solution on the island. This is a joke, yes? What sort of solution would the Archbishop offer? Ah yes, enosis. |

| Teehee, thought it was a guy called Makarios who mucked it all up in the first place. And what can Chrysostomos do that the President can/t/won't do? But I love and admire Desmond Tutu, but maybe he should inform himself a little more of the true situation and history of Cyprus. Then maybe he wouldn't bother to ask the Arch to do anything other than to 'love his neighbour' and ask forgiveness for the role has played in the continued dkivision. What do others think. |
