Is anyone following the news about Mr. Mubarak's (expected) speech about the end of his Presidency in Egypt? Is it on UK television (I'm listening at the moment to Dutch radio, but can watch all UK television channels - but which one is the question...)?

P.S. Tomorrow morning Egypt may be a "democracy" - interesting to see how it works in a country where only 20-30% of the 80 million population is literate...

I think there will be some turbulent times ahead for Egypt.

I would watch the news on Aljazeera or Press TV. I don´t trust BBC.

Paul, about 50 mililon Egyptians can't read or write! They are completely dependent on (state regulated) television for their information. Sorry, but 100.000 demonstrators on a square in Cairo, chasing (fighting and shouting) away the President are a very soft guarantee for democracy.

It's the small high-ranked military bunch that will run the show (tomorrow) again.

▶ News flash: Rumours now about 1: a military coup d'état in Egypt and 2: the upgrading of Vice-President Suleiman to President. Growing tension on the Tahrir Square in Cairo.

Mubarak won't step down now. His speech is almost a repeat of his speech from a couple of days ago!

What will the reaction of the people on the Tahrir Square in Cairo be..?! What will the army do?
