I want to ask the forum a question

We have several area's of lawn grass on our complex (which look lovely) but I want to ask if there is any truth in the story that with the lawns being watered by sprinkler system on a regular basis every evening the grass attracts large amounts of mosquito's and has to be treated to deter them

Please this is a genuine query and it would be nice to get responsible replies and the question is being asked for my benefit and no ulterior motives are involved

Mozzies definitely like grass to lurk in for breeding... they lay their brood in still water.

I don't know why anyone here would want grass... it takes a lot of care and looks crap most of the time here... It's not drought tolerant and is therefore wasteful of water....

If you sit near grass you will get bitten by the females of the species... such is life!
