In the past week 11 C44 readers/members asked for the password for the blank will (free downloadable from one of my web sites). The total number of downloads is now 1409!

All requested passwords have been sent a couple of minutes ago (Monday, February 14, 9.45am).

DC please explain that they must be registered at the courts and what that process is. No good making a will that is not usable.

Today I replied to seven requests for (the password of) a free "blank will" ("Do it yourself and save 100 Pounds").

But again: I'm not a lawyer and cannot give you any advise re: wills or specific problems!

If you have downloaded a blank will from my site:

▶ [ http://is.gd/iNxJx/homepage_cyprusdownload_free_maps_music_and_more ]

and received the password for the encrypted and protected file: read here what to do after filling in the form:

Click this link: ▶ [ http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/35408.asp ].

P.S. Some people don't have the necessary software installed to "unzip" the file - I'll include a short manual "How to unzip a zipped file" in my replies. It's really very easy!

Hi DC,

Thank you, I received your reply really quickly, but unfortunately do not have the instructions re 'unzipping' a file, and as I am a total technophobe I do not know how to do it. Would you mind sending the instructions to me. Thank you.

(FYI) RE: Zipped files: the file becomes smaller and can be sent and downloaded faster during Internet traffic.

I've now included in my outgoing "willmails" short instructions "How to Unzip".

1 : If you've already downloaded the blank will form, do the following:

2 : To Unzip the file: double click the downloaded file. If this doesn't work on your computer you miss the (free) software to Unzip (extract) the file you downloaded.

3 : You find a choice of this necessary, free software (for PC: easy to install) here: http://www.google.com/search?q=unzip+software+pc&hl=en&num=10&lr=&ft=i&cr=&safe=images

Good luck! And again: may it be a long time before someone has to read your will...

In 40 years as a solicitor I dealt with hundreds of wills, probate etc. Problems only ever arose with home made or blank "template" wills. No 2 situations are ever the same, and the cost of sorting out problems far exceeds the cost of making a will properly.

RE msg 23, luem1: Exactly what the lawyers in TRNC say. But my wife and I both paid 100 Pounds for an A4 that is almost identical to the blank "template" will form. I believe the words of solicitors in TRNC (only because we don't have them here), but "lawyers" and their expensive papers is another matter...

Now about 1500 C44 readers/members downloaded a blank will form from my site (and the "TRNC Lawyers" would have charged you 100 Sterling per identical print out from their computers!).

▶ That means: 1500 x 100 Sterling = 150,000.00 Sterling. Haha!

P.S. Believe me: I didn't make any money (after all I pay for the download traffic), but I find this small operation a big success!

Long may all the downloaders live!

Keep downloading, folks! Don't pay them, do it yourself - it's been enough.

There are now several threads re: "Will" on this board. I found a post from Ismet, which is too interesting to miss in this thread so I copy it here:

(...) 1. It is customary to cancel all previous wills with your latest will. So you do not have to chase and find the previous ones.

2. In Famagusta court, you submit the will in an envelope, they put it into another envelope and seal it. In Girne court they want to check it before you put it into an envelope. In my view Famagusta practice is more correct. Suppose the person making the will wants to keep it secret.

3. I suggest that anybody making a will over the age of seventy get a doctors report for sound mind from a government hospital.

4. Make sure the wittnesses are not beneficiaries or the spouse of a testator. Ismet (...)

[ CONTINUED from msg 63 ]

(...) 5. It is not necessary to deposit a will in court, it is only a preffered method of deposition. You can give the will to a beneficiary or a friend or your advocate or anyone you like to keep.

6. Your advocate should be able to deposit it into court for you but unfortunately each office acts independently and sometimes differently to each other. It is a matter of discretion. See the difference between Famagusta and Girne courts (msg 63, # 2). There is nothing in the law about depositing a will into court. Hence the difference in its application. Ismet (...)

Hello Dutchcrusader,

Have requested twice, both here and on your website.

Bill

Is Hans banned until next year? The crime & punishment meets all TRNC expected xenophobic sentiments and paranoid schizophrenic megalomania!

It is very important that everyone remembers the importance of priceless memories that refuse to establish intolerable embellishments without distasteful candor.

Conclusions should never be the answer when the reason for finding the solution is a question in disguise.

Would it be right to think that perspective insights that do not connote a contrived flexibility may compel others to propel their ideas to a new plateau of suspended exhaustion?

That's a very good question 0maintenance. The answer is simply the memories of tenderness least remembered when inconsequential.

No1 Good answer.

But that even confuses me,but sometimes it is difficult to explain the purpose for sometimes proposing repressive principles that attempt to delude idiotic curiosities.
