I urge every owner on TQB to be very very carefull before they accept the draft contract that has been made up by the M/C and been put to the interim committee for appraisal, please join and read the comments on the private forum, you might not agree with them but at least read them and debate them otherwise there will be no hope, join http://www.glencoecyprus.com and then ask to be allowed to join the private forum all u need is your apartment number and name and e-mail address. After waiting one and a half years for some form of action we are suddenly asked to read and ratify and send back a contract drawn up by a M/C in the space of 10/12 days, this is realy unacceptable Dont play Russian roulette with your investment, because if this is past, there will be no way back for years.

I have pasted this on here from the private forum to let owners see what may happen if this contract is given the nod. *To allow the site to be brought up to an acceptable standard where it can be properly handed over to an appointed maintenance company, a properly elected committee must be installed, a proper constitution must be put in place, a book of owners must be set up and registered with the district lands office, and a maintenance contract must be written up by the floor owners board/committee, if these steps are not taken then there is no basis for legal action against non payers, FACT. And believe me those who are currently manipulating the non payments are only too well aware of this. Once these things are underway then you have the base for a properly and efficiently run complex, run by owners who require the M/C to act in accordance with their wishes and not the other way round.* Only then will u have an effective legal route to tackle non payers

i think you will find its the same all over mate , what happens is , you buy property on whatever site ? you are promised loads of amenaties , ie pools ,buses ,shops ,gyms, etc etc , then you get the do gooders who come along and say HOLD UP , we moved in here when none of the facilities were on site ,RIGHT LETS FORM A RESIDENTS COMITTE, they then agree amongst themselves that they , should only pay halve the maintenance costs , for the inconveniance they suffered , well i dont live in TRNC full time , but if i did , i would have no problem paying my maintenence , so i say what they pay , i will pay , and as it happens the M/C was chosen by the builder who gets 10% supposedly , and the so called residants commitee ,just a bunch of idiots that liked to tell theyre friends in the UK we have property in cyprus you know , and we run the site , they have been found out now , because a residants commitee means exactly that , you have to be a residant , snotty nosed brits eh , LMFAO

Hi Claregordon there was a new law brought out late last year, and it quite clearly states how you must set up your community, it is called the floor easement law, it has certain stipulations and stages that must be carried out as i detailed in my post so that you can legally charge maintenance and chase non payers, Ithink it is obvious that if the laid down format is not carried out as to the guidelines, then any owner or group of owners wanting to take legal action against a person or group of people who are refusing to pay any maintenance fees cant win a case, because the laid down format was not applied and the necessary agreement reached. It is our opinion that some people are sitting laughing at the attempts of our interim commitee to set up a contract that was not designed and laid out by the owners as above, because they know that there advocates here in the TRNC would be able to blow all kinds of holes in it PS rowlo well said but they arnt all bad.
