Does anyone download music current and old?

If so, which Website do you use/trust?

Even if you pay or for free. Which one is the the most popular user choice?

Legally, Amazon is good. Never tried Itunes.

Otherwise, never had a problem with Isohunt or thepiratebay.

I suppose I should have asked what music you were looking for. Anything specific?

Being in Cyprus I would like to be able to download new albums and other random tracks from artists etc.

I dont have a problem with paying for anything I download, I just want to make sure its safe, a quality download and Legal.

Looking at I tunes is seems like my pc will be loaded with sh.te that I dont want.

All I want to do is buy an album, new/old from a legal site and enjoy some music.?

I have lots of "older" stuff. Used to spend lots on CDs up until a few years' ago, drop me a mail if you have anything specific in mind. Pretty much everything is now on MP3 on my laptop.

I use iTunes. It's got almost complete coverage of most genres.

Anthony, thank you for your offer. I may take you up on that but what do you mean by having everything on your laptop? Can you give me an example of genre's pls. As I think we may have different music tastes...

Thanks.

Rock, old prog, Motown, disco, middle of the road, 80s, 70s, classical...I'm not saying I have everything that you would like, but might have a few that I could burn onto a disc if you were interested. Depending on if there is anything specific you wanted. And obviously, I still might not have it

itunes and amazon will not let me buy legally from them, even if using VPN it opens up but once i get to the check out it realises that i have got a Turkish card so its then the old two fingers job !! how they can justify this i dont know, a credit card is credit card it should not matter where its from if anyone knows how to get round this i would be grateful as i would like to be able to purchase things legally

Hi Andrew,

I buy from both of these sites with no problems although my card is from the UK, why dont you try paying using PayPal, that should work.

Try Napster .....

http://www.napster.co.uk/

I pay them £5 a month and can stream unlimited tracks through the laptop or copy them to my Ipod. Their library is absolutely vast, there's nothing I haven't been able to find yet!

I have tried for a long time to use a PAYPAL account but to no avail. I can register using a Mersin 10 Turkey address but then I can't add my Cyprus bank accounts or cards because the bank use a local addreses (KKTC) and PAYPAL demand that registration and account addresses match. Also they will not permit use of UK cards/accounts with a Turkish registration even though the addresses do match.

Now that is a problem I would love to find a solution to.
