msge 1

I just hope the game is as good as last year. In the first half Barcelona just destroyed Arsenal. I don't think I have ever seen a team play so well against such accomplished opposition. It's a tough order for Arsenal especially as Barcelona can break up play as well as they can pass and move.

I still think Arsenal can get a result though if there big guns can fire on all cylinders. It is a shame that Nasri is not fit and also the Belgium centre half

yes goonerstan, you are right the defence is the weakness. Pleased to hear that Nasri could play.

Just looking at last nights game. Is Gattusto mad? He has obviously no idea who he was head butting. I think he was taking a chance but he certainly would have been mental to have tried that if Jordan was still in his prime.

Never lose hope till the fat lady sings, I just hope Messi has put on some weight and hope that Song can stop him from singing as it were!

Arsenal haven't lost at home in the Champions League since 2003 - 36 games.

I think they have a slight chance - possibly a draw though.

If you can ignore your support for Arsenal\English teams against the others in the Champions League, and assess the situation with a fairly open mind.

Arsenal play in a very similar style to Barca, and in the past have been somewhat inferior. The gap is closing, and along with Barcas iffy away record, it is worth a punt @ 3\1 for Arsenal to win tonights leg at the Emirates.

Overall I believe they will be knocked out, but tonight they have more than a 3\1 chance of success, so a small wager may prove successful.

Good luck

Arsenal are not favourites by any stretch but are good enough to beat anyone on their day... Two legs might be a stretch tho...

Not sure what kind of team Arsenal will be putting out tonight as I reckon they will be saving themselves for their far more important game against Leyton Orient on Sunday !!

If memory serves, Chelsea, with Wayne Bridge scoring the winner.

The bet was lodged with William Hill, and the returns will more than cover the money I lost on Ireland winning the 6 nations rugby.

Tight. Newscoop is correct. It was Chelski in 2004.
