Has anybody had any problems with Turkish Airlines? Our daughter booked flights at the beginning of last September to fly over at the end of July this year, flying from Stansted into Ercan. This week she received an email from them asking her to ring regarding her flights. She did so and was told that all flights from Stansted were suspended: they tried to persuade her to take either a three plane journey or an overnight stop in Istanbul flying out of Heathrow. We searched the web and Anodolu Jet are still showing the flights but will not allow booking, directing you to book at a Turkish Airline office. They have now made use of her money for six months and she has lost the opportunity to book a bargain flight during school holidays. We think this is a disgrace and wonder if it is happening to anyone else??

We have used Turkish Airlines, but not for a few years. I've just checked the website for the dates we are travelling in June and although the price is not bad, Stansted to Ercan takes 24 hrs. Ridiculous!

It's because they don't fly Stansted to Istanbul anymore, they're flying Stansted to Ankara. I cancelled my booking and got a full refund.

Just read email today not yet been able to get in contact with Turkish Airline yet booked my flights in July 2010. Now we have to start again great. I heard of them doing something like this last year cancelling flights. Its really not fair vwhen you book so far in advance to get the good price deals. My flight did cost me £394 for two fo us all in, with great connecting flight only 50 min wait in Istanbul. Now back to the drawing board!!!!

I have a flight booked with Turkish Airline from 28 May until 3 June and I have not heard anything from Turkish Airlines to say there is a problem. Their flight is from Stansted to Istanbul and Istanbul to Lefkosa. Has someone a telephone number to phone to check the flight is still okay?

They are not alone! We are booked with Air Canada to the USA via Toronto. Both flights to/from Toronto and USA have been altered, leaving us with the choice of running for the connection or waiting 7.5 hours for a later one!
