I've just received this urgent message from our contact in Egypt:

"At this moment in time we have an emergency situation with the horses, most of them are dying from starvation. We need someone to HELP US URGENTLY!"

I don't need to tell you about the chaos that’s happening in Egypt at this moment - every day brings historic news. But the political turmoil and violence is having a terrible impact on many animals in Egypt.

I'm receiving reports of horses, dogs, and cats, abandoned when their families were forced to flee their homes. Other reports tell of dog owners letting their dogs loose on the street, worried that they would starve to death if left inside their abandoned homes.

The situation at animal shelters is just as dire. They're quickly running out of money for food and medicine - they're courageously struggling just to keep their animals alive.

Please help by contacting IFAW

Hopefully Lilli, IFAW are a worldwide animal charity and do good solid work. Let's hope the situation in the Middle East improves soon or it will get worse for the animals.
