There will be an illustrated talk, "Watling Street - The Roman's Major Highway in Britannia" On Saturday 26th February at the Five Fingers Restaurant, Ozankoy.

The speaker for the evening will be Keith Lloyd, who will trace the road from Dover to Caernavon. via London, St Albans and Chester.

The event will start at 8.00pm with a three course dinner, inspired by the writings of the Roman gourmet Apicius, followed by Keith's informative and often amusing journey through Roman Britain.

The cost is 25tl per head (inclusive of a glass of spiced wine, the three course meal and coffee)

How interesting. I used to work in Watling Street many moons ago (late 80's) and the building I worked in had some Roman excavations exposed in the main foyer. It was called Watling Court. It fronts onto Cannon Street and used to be leased by HSBC Bank.
