| CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand. A powerful earthquake slammed New Zealand's already bruised city of Christchurch on Tuesday, killing at least 65 people, and sending rescuers scrambling to help people trapped under collapsed buildings. It was around 6.1 but closer to the surface so caused a lot of damage, Robert |

| My Mum is there, thankfully she is ok. She had already lost her house in the last earthquake in september. Just talked to my sister news there is saying that death toll likely to rise to up to 1000. CHristchurch will never be the same after this, This is my home town and it is just heart breaking to see the damage. A very sad day for New Zealand. |
