| I open the internet with internet explorer both on my pc and on my friends laptop. It was taken into Turkcell - as at the beginning the 3G wasnt even recognised on the laptop and they needed to do something to the card inside the 3G. Perry I understand Ive got to ensure that the version of windows is the same ???????? |

| Hi Cindy Yes - I spend hours trying to get it to work on my new laptop - but it wouldn't. So I tried my son's and it worked. I then dug out the user guide for the dongle - it lists Windows XP, but not Windows 7. What version of windows are you on ? |

| Cindy, just re-reading your post - I bet your friend's brand new lap top is Windows 7, and yours is Windows XP. That would explain it. You will need a new 3G dongle compatible with Windows 7 |

| Message 6 - NOT TRUE. It is only different software required not a new dongle. When I bought a Windows 7 laptop my dongle wouldn't work although I used it daily on my XP desktop. Then I phoned the Turkcell helpline and they talked me through the installation on the laptop (which is not obvious|) - it took 5 minutes and worked fine. Now I swap the dongle happily between the two computers. Just dial 600 from a Turkcell phone or 0392 600 1000. |
