| Is there anyone out there who knows anyone who can come and align one of our dishes to Thor satellite. Please do not suggest Tektan as that is a swear word indoors at the monent. Would also like to say a great big THANKYOU UKTURK who last week spent ages on the phone with us talking through the set up system on the other dishes- nothing was too much trouble for him - he even gave me quick cookery lesson whilst we were waiting for upload. Thanks Erkan we owe you Lea & Perrins and Salad Cream ! lol What a pity Tektan have been totally useless and have left the job part done - they should take a leaf out of UK Turks book. |

| I assume that you're talking about the Thor 3 / 5 cluster at 0.8 degrees West of the Meridian. From here (anywhere within a few miles of Girne) your dish needs to be pointed: - Azimuth - 229.4 degrees (that's just a teeny bit further West than Sou' West) Altitude - 35.5 degrees I would suggest that you go in to Tektan and speak to the Manager personally, he may not be aware of the situation, and they do have a good reputation generally, which he would be loth to lose. If that doesn't help, try Vestel - on the left, before Jasmine Court, heading into town from Lapta direction. Hope this helps, Keith. |
