There's a large healthy black labrador type dog with a thin yellow collar roaming around incesu and Malatya for the past week or so - very friendly, lovely dog. Is there anyone other there missing a dog or is it another one of these poor creatures that has been dumped?? please call me Res - 0533 8722577 if you think you may know the owner. Thanks

He is not lost. This is my adopted street-dog, Jack. He gets out of the garden and goes for a roam, but he always comes back every day.

Does Jack know to look left and right when crossing a road? Or, that if a car swerves to avoid him and in doing so, kills all occupants of the car, or worse, leaves them paraplegic - but he is left unscathed; that he will be responsible????????????????

I think that is a little harsh... clearly Jack is a dog so is not aware of those things but, at the end of the day - at least someone is bothering to feed the poor bugger! I have a dog and she is very much a part of the family and we saved up and spent out almost £2000 on railings for the exact reasons you have suggested. However, I don't for one minute expect others to do the same just for a dog which they have committed to feed... There are other dogs we feed - but that doesn't mean they are 'my' responsibility. It is sad, yes, and it is a reflection on the worrying number of strays on our streets, but I'm not sure that pointing a finger of blame in these situations is entirely helpful... At least we now know he isn't 'lost' or forgotten. x
