| Robert Msg 5 - that means I could never be a politician real estate saleman, or lawyer does it not? My point was that maybe you did not need to have gone to university to give the great benefit of your knowledge and experience to those who you could help. Borstal or University I'm not qualified to talk about either! |

| Tom - you're right and wrong! Originally many joined (when it started inthe 50's) straight from school (usually went to Africa!) but now in this modern world its qualifications or experience Im afraid. Someone after retirement with loads of experience in their field, be it building or IT would get a 1 or 2 year contract - but for teaching,, nursing and and so on these days they do look for a degree. I cant say I agree, but it is their charity and they can run it how they like!! They have pulled out of many countries now and are getting "picky". I was lucky I had a great time for 4.5 years, gained many friends and lots of insight into a specific country, which one doesnt always get from the media!!!!! |
