Hire Car from South to North

We are having a few days in the South before going on to our villa in the North and was wondering how o go about it and if anyone can recommend a hire company.

Agree with Fosterscan, I used Fontana, 84 Euros per week D1 group car + a full tank of petrol. Picked it up from Larnaca airport and drove to Kyrenia, bought one months insurance at the border 35 Euros for two drivers.

Hi Caroline,

I think you will be surprised how reasonable it is to hire from Larnaca airport by pre booking in the UK.

Choose to pick up at the airport - the car booths are on the right as you leave customs.

You do not say if you are arriving in the south, but if you are and plan on returning within a short time, why not hire in the south?

Just check that the company allow crossing into the north.

Also factor in the North insurance - 25 euros for a month but you can insure daily and weekly (note prices are in euros)

Try Economy Car rentals where everything is included (Surcharges,additional driver, CDW etc) plus no excess applies!



I have used these several times coming over from the South. Expect to pay around Euro 250 for 14 days.
