So how does it work, this payment of import duties? I drive down to TRNC in my car bringing our belongings from uk, it's got 12 months uk road tax and fully insured. We cross from mainland Turkey by ferry, is it at this point we get hit with the TRNC duty? If so, how is it calculated

at Girne harbor the customs there will tell you that you have to go to the Customs office in Lefcosa in 1 month, when you go there explain what you want and they will help you through paying your import duty its not easy seeing they want money off you? I took a Turkish speaking friend with me which helped, once the ball started rolling it still took about a week. Good luck
