I tried it (not in Cyprus). You choose your raw meat/fish/poultry and they cook it in front of you - great night out.

I went there a few weeks ago and it was really nice - would recommend it.

Good service too received from the staff - a nice place to go.

Thought it was a bit pricy but ignorance is bliss I suppose, I would like to know whether the bbq meat, fish poultry are for that price and that you then perhaps have to buy your salad (chips?) separately.



Would love to see a menu, we are Erol fans and have never been able to better the food there for good value and sheer goodness.



If Zonerest can answer the questions here then we will try it out.

our mongolian open buffe includes all variouis meats and fish and 15 various vegatables and served with nooddles wich in our opinion it compliments each other quite well we dont serve chips & salad with it but we can cater if required anything out side the buffe is charged

Sue you choose your meat/fish, veg, noodles, spices etc and it is cooked all together on an open BBQ. I haven't tried Zone yet but used to go in London and it was really good. This should give you an idea of what it is like http://www.themongolianbarbeque.co.uk/see-inside.php

I am not sure where this place is.

Maps with street names are all very well but what I would like to see are directions that mention landmarks.

I.e Lemars. Erdener supermarket Tempo, the Courtyard etc.

Meat on a BBQ..?! The descendants of Mongolia's greatest son, Djengis Khan (multiple spellings possible), have obviously forgotten their past. The Mongolian warriors would eat their meat rare after they had put it under their horse's saddle for a couple of days..!

P.S. I've tried Mongolian food in the Netherlands and really enjoyed it. Although it was not served from a BBQ but on a very, very hot plate from a special oven. So, we are going to try Zone Restaurant.

are the ingredients fresh now cause when we went for a look in summer.. the mushrooms and peas looked like they were tinned and 30 tl still isnt cheap..try a realistic price of 20/25 and you will get more custom instead of going for the quick kill... its cheaper at the harbour. good luck

Stayed at a pub(B&B) in South Wales when I was working in the UK.I know that the town was Taffswell and am not sure that the pub was called The Anchor.Any way the pub had within a Mongolian restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed the food.Help yourself to the raw ingredients and the chef cooked it in front of you......delicious!!

Thankyou for your comments regarding the vegetables. The world concept of Mongolian Cuisine is to use frozen meat and vegetables so that the customer chooses to make their meal from the selection in the open freezer. None of the vegetables we use are tinned or processed in any way except for being fresh frozen.

Try the Meyhane at Zone! We had a great night, non-stop coming food, untill you turn the card to red !! Unlimited drinks (not local)! We paid 50 tl each, live music, BBQ, drinks, and desserts!

Bit of a drive for us from Esentepe but well worth it. The Mongolian tonight was every bit as we expected and as good as any we have used in UK or Germany. Food very fresh and staff very attentive. Didn’t know there was also a BBQ restaurant (and fish) which sounds good value. Will be trying that soon.
