David Msg 1 - I am a little surprised you have not already found out. I think you must differentaiate between living as a Brit. would expect to at home or as an Expat or as a local.

It is more expensive than you think, bring plenty of sterling as the exchange rate is strong right now!



You need to work out a budget & stick to it otherwise your money soon goes here. You really have to shop around & get recommendations from others who have good experience on life out here. Quality goods are more expensive out here but in my experience you get what you pay for.



Cyprus 44 is a great forum for all to get information & advice, even making friends!

Have you been to NC? I only take holidays there but having been in the supermarkets its easy to weigh up the cost of living yourself by comparing the prices of foodstuffs etc., not everyone lives the same. There have been a number of postings lately asking questions and saying moving over shortly or next month, do these people ever get there I wonder after asking advice.
