Sorry if you have missunderstood me about the pool being filled Me and Geoff and Marion thought it would save some money thats all,

We think while everyone is over in Oct to have a meeting about everything

Hi all. Geoff and Marion would have loved the pool fillng---2 months ago !!! when it was HOT but now the temp has dropped. The pool at Club Simena was 24degs on Sunday. This pool is in full sun all day.We were the only family in for about 15 mins. Had to get out , it was to cold for little ones!! Like Susie we are resident here. Please consider these facts carefully before parting with pool money : Pool does not get sun all day now : There are no railings round pool :As stated earlier--Meter can take 2/3 weeks/months to appear: Do you want to pay 6 months maintanance for a pool no-one can use ?? Or should we consider pushing for the gardens [no GRASS please] Do we need expensive security cameras?--- Marion and Geoff.

thing with security cameras is peace of mind for the people not living on site i suppose .



phase 1 have them up and not connected ,so no pint in that either .



my opinion they need connecting up and instant viewing from web site .



on bigger picture then you could connect via wifi and the adsl connection that operates the web cameras ,so 2 benefits for the one fee?

Its a shame really. I have found the people on Phase 1 Kavanlar site to be a really friendly laidback crowd. In fact, I have found most of the ex pats in the TRNC a great bunch. I've made many friends.



I'm sorry your personal sadness is making you leave. I think you've had a rough deal and the natural reaction is to go and leave, walk away. Personally I'd shrug my shoulders and say, "sod it, I'm moving on and you will be the one to regret it later."



But that's easier said than done.

Yeah I know.



I still got charged £120 even though the cleaner fell out the window and hadn't finished the clean.



We paid up hoping it would help with hospital bills etc.



What the hell did they land on? The soil is all rock hard around our block.

We are really pleased to be able to say 'Thanks' to the Kavanlar team, to Ilker, Hulya, Fuat and latterly Fatma. In an amazing two weeks we managed to get electric & water meters installed, have two toilets changed because they were not as ordered, have granite worktops and A/C units installed, get the place cleaned (MEPS did a very thorough job), the curtains ordered and fitted, the white goods installed and furniture delivered. For a country regarded by the rest of the world as disfunctional and isolated, this was quite amazing and could not have been achieved in the UK.



Now we have a delightful home and, apart from a few hiccups along the way, we happy to say we have not suffered the frustrations that many seem vented anger over.



Many thanks again Kavanlar, we are truly thrilled with our home and look forward to taking up residence later this month.

glad to here its all going to plan .The service we also recieved with kavanlar when snagging etc was very good.Quite right kavanlar and the team have done well and should be praised for that.



I also found ilker and fuat good guys trying their best to help .

Hi Fellow Kav,s we have just returned from having stayed in our apartment for the first time.So first we would like say a big thank you to Geoff & Marion for getting our place all ready for us, even had some cold beer's in the fridge we we arrived cant be bad !.Thank you also to ilker and his team for sorting out a few teething problems we had.



It was a pleasure to meet so many nice fellow residents and we cant wait to catch up with you again sometime in the near future.



Whist we we there us people on site (about a dozen or so residents) held a meeting with Meps to discuss our concerns and the overall opinion was that we feel they will do a excellent job so us residents have started to make payment in order for them to apply for the meters on our behalf so we can have all block & communial lighting ASAP.

Hi Cooper, this is my first post and I just wanted to say that we have met some lovely people on the site and can't wait till we meet up again. Had a brilliant holiday and being able to finally stay in our apartment was brilliant, we do still have the odd teething problem which we hope to get ironed out at the end of November when we are out for 9 days, we are looking forward to it already.

i am comming out to the apartment for10 days from the 6th november to sort out the appartment.Can you please clean the flat and I will pay you when I get over there,the electricity is on, but the water needs to be ordered.via tanker delivery. Any problems with this give me a shout. We are apartment 5 block f. This is a record of a meeting with meps and some of the agreed issues.

I am logged into Gemmas computer but the message is from Sticke.





As one of the participants of the meeting can I point out some of the omissions and additional points which may help clarify the issue for ourselves and others.



1) Meps have agreed to finance the initial landscaping and that it will be in theme with local environmental conditions.

2) Meps have agreed with Kavanlar that they will provide security cameras



Both of these will not incur costs for residents of KavankoyII.



3) Meps will provide a detailed list of what the monthly charge (£40) will cover and what it will not cover.

4) MEPS will provide a detailed list of what the £100 emergency fund will cover and what it will not cover.

5) Meps will provide detailed accounts for residents of KavankoyII on a spreadsheet every three months.

6) Meps will look at a password protected on-line balance sheet for K2 residents.

7) No large scale spending will take place without the approval of the residents. Three estimates will be found.

8) It was proposed that a group of (permanent) residents might represent the owners of the apartments. One representative per block.

The general feeling of those present was that the meeting was constructive and helpful. However, in relation to 3 and 4 above it was generally agreed that until the detailed lists were provided that the agreed sums were to be withheld.



In some blocks MEPS have had KIBTEC install meters and stairwell lighting exists.

MEPS are to have an office on site in Block D apartment 1.

Hi again, I don't know why my message was repeated! We are only coming out once, on Saturday 25th!

I only want the apartment cleaned ONCE!! LOL

We will probably visit the site on the Sunday, once we have got our hire car.

Susie, if you could do the builder's clean we would be very grateful. Although our original contract said we had bought Apartment 5 in Block 5, once we saw that the block had been reorientated we decided on Apt 6 instead.

Very little action on here at the moment . Does that mean that everyone is over the moon with their purchase + have nothing to report . If its good or bad news lets hear it . We've just returned from a fantastic 3 weeks on Kav 2 , spent a lot of good time with Bill + Linda [ Stickle ] , Geoff + Marion [ Gemma ] , Chris + Alison [ Cooperman ] and all . We sorted any remaining things out positively + it seems that Meps are springing into action on all fronts .

Looking forward to our next visit when we will see alot of changes .
