From Girne to Dipkarpas

Hi, could anyone suggest the best route from Girne to Dipkarpas? Any personal experience? Thanks.

I normally take the Besparmark rd, then the turning just before Ercan turnoff(sinposted yeni Ilgaz), Dual carriage way most of the way, watch your speed when entering villages, speed cameras abound, past Gecitkale airport and keep going, at the T junction, turn left thru Bogaz (Moon over the water recommended for lunch) and its sign posted from there. Journey time from Girne around 2 hours.

Hi

We visited Dipkapz when we were in Cyprus 2 weeks ago. It was a beautiful day out. We travelled through to Nicosai and then took the road to Famagusta off the main Nicosia roundabout. We then follwed signs for Iskele and then went to Bogaz. From here it is sign posted. About 2 hours but well worth it. Watch out for the donkeys, there are loads and often by the side of the road so drive carefully. Have fun!

Hi Jancz,





From Girne, travel east down the coast road to Esentepe and when you get to the Tatlisu T Junction, turn right and over the new mountain road. When you reach the main road turn left at the garage and travel to Iskele and Bogaz. Then it is straight on to Dipkarpaz. This is a beautiful and scenic run and it will not take you any longer than going past the airport.
