I'd steer clear of the hospital opposite the police station close to Ezic as they charge TL130 per test. Unfortunately, we stupidly didn't find out until after they had taken the blood.

Re message 4.

This was the first time we had the blood test done in the Famagusta area. Rest assured next time, once we have the appropriate police form, we will have it done in Girne somewhere at a fraction of the cost of the Famagusta hospital.

If you do find a more reasonably priced testing place in Famagusta, please let me know. Good luck.

I went to the KUNTER Hospital in Magusa in Oct 2010 (on advice from friendly Policeman !) as they charged 90 TL and were very quick efficient. You go to the last roundabout on the main road through Magusa (Martyr's roundabout ?) and take the Larnaca border turn off then take the first road on the left and it's along that road. It is a large green building on the right hand side.

Hi ClareW

Went to the Kunter hospital in Magusa today as you suggested & we will use them again next year. They charged 85tl for blood test /tb & we were in & out in 15 mins also they were really friendly. Thanks for the recommendation

I dont understand why we get a jab of TB?? No one looks at our arm to see if there is a reaction and when I think about it, a the lab technician stuck a needle of 'some fluid' in my arm before I could react....how do we know whats being shoved into our bodies????

Blood tests and TB jab today at Medikent 60TL. In and out within 10 minutes. Go back for the report on Thursday and to check the reaction to the TB test. Prior to that visit to Girne Police station to start residency process. Arrived at 10, all documents etc. checked and given the slip for the bloodtest and were out of there by 10.15. Went back to the police station with the receipt from the bloodtest at 11.15 - though we'd try our luck - no queue so went straight in only to be told that they had done enough for today and come back tomorrow! However the process thus far seems very efficient - hope I don't have to eat my words tomorrow!
