I'm fairly certain they don't allow you to book flights from/to Ercan online, sounds like that is your problem. You need to phone them or go into their office or book via a travel agent.

We have not tried but our consolidator works in a different backroom system so if you want to email the details (Names, Dates, Journey and phone number) we can get an option and price for you. info@flightholiday.co.uk

To book with Turkish Airlines you need to telephone them. You will also have to fax them a copy of your credit card, back & front. Paul

I booked a flight with turkish airlines online last week as I did for last October - Heathrow to Lefkosa and had no problems. Sometimes airline online booking does't work whilst they are updating their prices. `You might like to call their service centre in the UK 0844 800 6666 or their reservations in Turkey 90 212 444 0849. Hope this is of some help.

Last BA flight I took found them through an opodo link on the flightholiday web site and likewise Monarch through avro both were wel priced and I think flightholiday do earn a few pence from them when used (not at our cost from what I have been told).

I booked yesterday - Ercan/Bangkok. I had the same problem as you - all OK until I enter my Mastercard verification and then "Sorry for inconvenience". The solution is to switch from the "Credit Card" tab to the "Reservation" tab - this lets you reserve your flights and they tell you deadline for payment. Make a note of the reservation code. You can then go to their office either in Lefkosa or Ercan to pay, or you can call call them in Turkey (0212 444 0849), quote your reservation code and pay by credit card over the phone. They then email your ticket. This worked fine for me yesterday. If you pay over the phone then you must present your credit card for verification when you check in for the flight. Hope this helps.

TOM. I need to book a difficult one for next month. Wife and I out together but back separately but I have enough airmiles for a freebie for me only, MAN-IST-ECN. Do I have to go through a Turkish office for this one?

Erwin Msg 16 - in this case I would suggest it. I assume these are MilesAndSmiles from Turkish and they will need to do this for you. You might do well to look at the web site at http://www.turkishairlines.com/en-INT/miles_and_smiles/about_us/awards/index.aspx there is information there about redemption Don't forget that you might be able to get the other half some sort of deal on her points too. It is easy to collect points but not always quite so easy to sell them back when the time is right.

i'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE to book Turkish Airlines on line FROM North Cyprus. It just tells me to see my travel agent or phone the airline. Don't understand why, when one can book Pegasos etc, so I don't fly that way. Howeve,r if I really need Turkish Airlines for longer distance hauls than U.K, then I will zoom down to my friendly travel agent in town. The prices are often as good as on line, but just a tad of inconvenience for going to the agents. Has anyoned ever been able to book Turkish Airlines on line and pay for it from North Cyprus???
