Ok, I admit my reasons for asking are rather selfish -I have a long standing case that is already taking 18 months and getting NOWHERE very slowly! What's the strike in aid of and what's the likelihood of it ending soon? I've been trying to find more details but hearing lots of rumours, half truths and rhetoric. Already clear that TRNC was by far the worse mistake of my life but it just never seems to amaze me just what is waiting around the corner!

North Cyprus Strikes. That is when the employed stand outside picketing their place of work place of work and NOT working, instead of being inside PRETENDING to work.
