The Special Representatives of the two leaders, Kudret Özersay and Yorgo Yakovu met today with the framework of the Cyprus negotiations process.



The two special aides came together this morning in the UN controlled Buffer zone as part of their efforts to assist the two leaders towards reaching a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus Problem.

The authorities of the founding states concerning agreements and treaties and the role of the federal state within that context, all of which are under the chapter of Governance and Power Sharing was discussed at the meeting.



Meanwhile, the President’s Special Representative Kudret Özersay made important statements concerning the Cyprus Turkish negotiation team.

Özersay said that the Turkish Side’s negotiating team had proven itself with its successful work.



He said that the Turkish Side had gained a positive standing in the eyes of the international community, particularly by the United Nations, thanks to the efforts of the negotiating team.
