We all have complaints from time to time about the efficiency of the Government Departments, but where credit is due, we should give it. We went to collect our Renewal Documents on Friday Morning, arrived about 8.30 and we were finished just on 9.15. Cant't get better than that . So a big thank you to the lovely lady who dealt with us.

Glad you have joined the ranks of those who praise the folk who do their job caringly in the Government. I have nothing but praise from my own experience. I know, as you said, some folk seem to hit bad days, but I have had no rela problems ever. Good to read good stuff.

We collected last week and arrived at 0845. Left at 0925 and all in all a very stress free experience.

Another good positive post. My wife only said to me last week when we went for our renewals that we must be lucky because we have never had a problem or long wait. Have spent much longer on a stretcher in Casualty in UK than ever had to wait at Girne police station or Lefkosa, and we do't get there until after 0830 :=)

Message 6: nobody knows how much they expect you to have in the bank! They don't publish any figures on this subject at all. It has seemed to me over the years that, if you have a kocan, they are not really interested in your bank balance whereas if for instance you are renting, they pay more attention.

why bother ? just go back and forward over the "border" every 90 days - i know several people (including the Mongers) who have done this for several years - the odd hick up here and there, but next time they cross, back to the 90 days........ makes sense to me......
