Please pass this job opportunity to friends who might be interested.

As you probably know, I manage a travel company in North Cyprus.

COMPANY:

GoNorthCyprus Travel Ltd. offers package holidays from the UK to North Cyprus, through our website http://www.GoNorthCyprus.com

With the advertised UK freephone, we also receive telephone bookings during office hours.

Our current team works until 5pm Cyprus time (3pm UK time), but we want to expand our hours.

We are currently looking for an Incoming Telephone Sales Person to join our team.

Our office is located in centre Kyrenia.

WORKING HOURS:

Monday to Friday (Choosing 4 days): 5pm - 11pm

Saturdays: 12pm - 6pm

Sundays: 12pm - 6pm

To confirm, this is 6 hours, 6 days of the week.

We expect around 10 calls on a given day (1 hour).

You will also be responsible for entering accurate flight price data to our database every day (1 hour).

You will be allowed to spend time on personal things as long as they do not interfere with the work (4 hours).

MORE DETAILS:

Monthly net salary of £400 will be paid.

Work permit will be arranged and social security contributions will be paid in addition to this.

This is a seasonal job until 30 September 2011. (Might be on-going)

You must be a good communicator and possess an excellent telephone manner, as well as being computer literate.

Previous sales experience would be an advantage, although sufficient training will be given.

TO APPLY:

Please email your current CV to:

I know an English person that is looking for employment - does this job come with a work permit ?

If it does, how are you getting around paying less than the minimum wage ?

With respect this works out at £2.56 a hour (£400 x12 months divided by 52 weeks divided by 36 hours)

Will anyone suitable work for so little.

Would there be stopages on this wage as well? Tax etc what ever they are in Northern Cyprus

Just to clarify:

We will of course pay social security contributions and will arrange work permit.

We always do this for all of our employees.

This will be in addition to £400 net salary.

jacroy1,

I am not here to discuss the salary.

Nevertheless, I want to confirm that the minimum wage is at £2.6 per hour as well.

Minimum wage is around 1250 TL. That is £490. £490 / 188 hours in a month = £2.6 per hour

How can you guarantee the work permit. Afriend of ours has just been refused one. She produced everything that was asked for, ticked all the boxes and after a lot of messing her around was still refused a permit without being given a reason. Must be a case of who you know not what you know

I reckon this is great for someone who is free during those hours. Izzet does say that personal stuff can be done as long as they don't interfere with the work to be done. Bet not many other jobs offer THAT. Yes, people do 'steal' office time, but this is offered.

For the responsibility required, the wages seem fair - maybe I should apply, but don't think the husband would want to watch football everynight on telly.

Hope you get the right applicant Izzet"!

We are putting this on Cyprus Today this Saturday and hope to go over all CVs and arrange interviews next week.

Deadline to submit your CV: Tuesday, 22 March, 2011

That's a safe deadline, but feel free to submit CVs next week until 25 March. During the interview stage, we may still look into more CVs.

We need the chosen person to begin ASAP, but can wait 1-2 weeks depending on circumstances.

Roy Msg 3 - If I was living in North Cyprus I would be applying for the job as that is probably in real terms (purchasing power) not far off or more than I pay myself in the UK (per hour I would actualy be earning more with Izzet).

Marion Msg 19 - I suspect that Izzet would not want a weird old man like me who has been his own boss. Even though I would come with a little knowledge.

Rasim Msg 21 - you might have got a clue if you were to look at the web site and go to http://www.gonorthcyprus.com/about.asp
