I really do need to have my eyes tested as they have not been tested for 7 years now and I suspect, my glasses are "slightly" out of focus!

Can anyone recommend an Opticians that is Not going to "rip me off" ?

Canada Optics do eye tests reasonably they are opposite the big Lemar in Karakum.

Akay Optic is the oldest dispensing optician in town (established 1960 in Nicosia). All European goods supplied with local prices, efficient service. Opticians do not and can not do eye test in the north of the island due to the laws. One should go to an eye doctor for sight test and bring the prescription for spectacles to be made. Optical frame prices start from 50TL and single vision lens prices start from 20TL pair according to power, material and coatings, starting from 32TL pair if plastic and 70TL pair plastic hard antireflection coated. You can have most suitable and reasonable spectacles made to measure on local prices. We two shops in town; one at the down town, Ziya Rizki Avenue 48, and the other up on the main road Mete Adanir Ave. 20/b (beside Deniz Plaza)

There is no Opthalmic Opticians in the North, they can not work here, laws do not let them. Dispensing Opticians do not do eye test, only eye surgens (eye doctors) dosight test in the North of the island. Be carefull who is doing your sight test!! Your eyes worht having a proffesional sight test. Ask for proffession.

There are five private eye doctors in Kyrenia and much more in Nicosia. Dr Hatice Arodezli, Dr Oncel Gunce, Dr Deniz Atakan, Dr Sibel and Dr Yesim. Dr Hatice; turn left from Bellapais traffic lights towords Ogretmen guest house, on the right, Dr Oncel; Private Kyrenia Hospital, Dr Deniz; Celiker Hospital; parallel upper road Mete Adanir Avenue, Dr Sibel; Turn left from Mercedes showroom in Kyrenia, on the right. I can give you their telephone numbers tomorrow morning if required.

Have a test at Medikent at Gonyeli then get your glasses at Canada or Akay, check both these out first for price and style of glasses.
