Are there any walking groups in N Cyprus ? Not the kind where you walk huge distances....more like the ramblers in the UK where you stop at lunchtime and then, suitably refreshed, walk home. A good way to spend a Sunday.

I too would be interested in joining a walking group. If there isn't a group, Begonia, could we start one?

We too would be interested. We walk with the Ramblers at home and really miss this in N Cyprus. We use walking books but frequently get lost because the paths seem, to disappear or are not marked properly. Oh for a proper Langranger Map flossie

Try http://www.cyprus-trekking.com They walk every Sunday for about 3 hrs, early start (7.30). Mainly Turkish Cypriot, but some north Europeans. Very friendly group. Programme is in Turkish but "cut and paste" into Google Translate.
