Hello, can anyone shed a light as to the state of renovations on this hotel as we were hoping to stay there later in the year? Thanks

I was just asking the same question yesterday. We were down there in October and it was all sytems go... there were dozens of men working on it and it looked close to finished. I had heard, rightly or wrongly that the same people who own the Colony had bought it and I don't know if the name will stay the same. I certainly cannot find any information on it.

I may be wrong but i thought the Palm Beach and the Long Beach hotel were two different hotels .Also I think the Long Beach had already been renovated last year Simbas

Pat Bit of a non sequitur there. They are different hotels of course. Palm Beach has been closed for quite a while for refurbishment. Longbbeach is having its customary quieter season touch up. Paul

Hi Pat, I was just looking for somewhere in your neck of the woods for a few days away in May. We stayed at the Venus Beach in October which was very quiet, enjoyable though but we thought we'd try somewhere different. Pat XX

Hi Pat , the only place i have ever stayed is the Salamis . It's very nice , but the food there is not so great , but that is only my personal opinion . I haven't booked my flights yet but i will be out in May just don't know the dates yet , you would more than welcome at the Hotel Bel-Barko , i believe they have some rooms available Pat x x

Thanks Pat, We have stayed in the Salamis ourselves and totally agree with you about the food. Maybe we can arrange to meet for a drink? Pat X X
