Mike, if this supermarket would open a branch between Kyrenia and Lapta (I suggest Alsancak, near our house... ) the competition would have a very, very hard time. Erülkü proves that it CAN be done - so in my opionion we pay too much in ALL other supermarkets in our area.

If it wasn't such a trek it would be a viable option for the weekly shop, as DC said if they moved over the mountain and kept their prices down they'd make a killing.

We went there a couple of weeks ago on a dummy run to Ercan and couldn't believe the prices, we bought a 5 kilo bag of pasta for 6 TL came out with about 6 carrier bags and got 6 bottles of juice free, lovely London TC girl at the checkout, so friendly.

RE msg 5, carollynne: Indeed, friendly and polite! And the girls behind the many counters (cheese, meat, fish etc) wear plastic gloves and plastic shoes - the hygiene in this supermarket is outstanding for Northern Cyprus!

A lot of Greek Cypriots also shop in Erulku. THe Supermarket is great, and their own made wholemeal bread is brilliant only 1.50tl for 600gm. The butchery department is also excellent.

We all know what would happen if it moved to our local area - the prices would steadily rise to match the higher prices charged on the expat side!

Pipie, Think you live near Tatlisu, go over mountain towards Ercan as you go over the flyover turn of left just as you go over the flyover towards Lefkosa at the first roundabout approx 1.5km come back on yourself Eruluku is on left about 300m. Anyone coming from Girne, come along the Lefkosa road towards Ercan, the roundabout with Tiga Trading to your left also Onbassi Electric shop on left, Eruluku is approx 300m on left. Also if you go over mountain near the Acupulco turning, you will come down to the roundabout with Tiga Trading on your left, you can either turn left just before Tiga Trading and it goes to Eruluku or turn left at the roundabout and Eruluku is on left approx 300m.

RE msg 8, pipie: (...) could you give directions please ? (...) ▶ Japeal replied ▶ Pipies reply: "Thank you japeal!" ▶ My remark: Pipie, if you had clicked on the link in msg 1 you would have had the location/directions! ▶ You know what is strange? According to my statistics: less than 50% of the people who open a THREAD with a picture I provide also click on the LINK I often (most of the times!) provide. (And then ask for directions, like in this case!). Why is that? Afraid to click on a virus-free, safe link on C44?! People don't know what a link is and don't know what to do if they see one? Or? I really wish I knew! Thank you for your replies!

Dutch your directions . Location: the road from Nicosia to Famagusta, 14 kilometres from the Nicosia roundabout japeal's directions you live near Tatlisu, go over mountain towards Ercan as you go over the flyover turn of left just as you go over the flyover towards Lefkosa at the first roundabout approx 1.5km come back on yourself Eruluku is on left about 300m. My point Dutch, Try and be more detailed when giving directions as Japeal did !! that way we will take note of your directions Have a nice day !!
