Hi is there a problem with Sky reception at the moment in the TRNC, such as loss of channels or freezing. Not sure if it is my dish or just poor signal.

probably needs re-aligning - they do from time to time, especially with the high winds in the winter..............

Anyone else out there with problems, re poor signal or interference rather than re-aligning being required. Just checking if it just me or a general problem with reception of Sky in TRNC.

It`s a general problem, nothing to do with alignment. There is an Arab satillite interfering with the signal from Astro every evening about the same time. Had a word with Iceman, he is looking for a solution but as yet no luck, but knowing him he will not give up. The Turks are thinking of blasting it out of the skys with a rocket.

It's an Eastern med wide issue at the moment:( There WAS an issue with a new Arab Sat 'bird' only two degrees away from the 'bird' broadcasting BBC stuff and that seemed to be curable - if one's dish was built properly in the first place. Now isn't it 'strange' that when Libya's crisis kicked off ( Gaddafi trying to JAM Al Jazeera, et al,) that things got worse..? Let's hope Arab folk can sort out their problems and 'leaders' can allow their fellow countrymen to view all media sources... without 'interference' :(
