For many years I have been an asthma sufferer and last year I was going to the hospital almost on a monthly basis to receive intensive treatment that would give limited relief. I am now finally receiving excellent treatment from a Danish doctor who has recently come to live here. He practices at Near East University Hospital.

His consultation is thorough spending at the most an hour taking your details and making reports onto the computer (the first time I have ever experienced this in Northern Cyprus). He doesn't order tests that are not necessary - he really does have a good bedside manner. Within a few days of receiving his treatment I felt on top of the world and was able to tackle lots of chores and activities that I had been unable to before. He really has given me a new lease of life.

Dr. Finn Rasmussen is an Asthma and Allergy specialist from Denmark and has practiced and taught medical students there for many years.

The telephone number is 0392 675 1000/1150-1

Dearie, thank you for posting this information. I am really pleased for you that you have found help. I too have asthma and have suffered from various allergies connected to this and it is reassuring to know that there is a good specialist here at the NEU hospital. Regards, Mrs Snakes

Thanks Mrs Snakes for your remarks - asthma is a life threatening disorder and as you know it is vital to have it controlled - best of luck - keep well xxx
