Central Kyrenia Property Tax

Can somebody please tell me what the Property Tax for Central Kyrenia is for this year. Also, where in the Belediye office (presume the one at the square) do we go to make payment.

hı.ıt depends on how many square metres your house or flat ıs.ıts 1lıra per square metre.ı pay mıne next to the polıce statıon where the wednesday market ıs .you should take your deeds wıth you and anythıng that shows how bıg your property ıs.eg buıldıng plans

Many thanks havali. Not quite sure how I'm going to show the size as it is an apartment and I don't have any building plans but I'm sure I can sort it out with the estate agent.

If you go to the office near the Police Station you need your contract, copy of passport and need to fill in a form, they will help you with this. Your contract should state how many square meters the apartment is, but if it does not then you can guesstimate it i.e. a reasonable room size 3 bedroom apartment is probably in the region of 90-100m2.

Once you have registered in this office the first time, the bills can then be paid in the normal Belediyesi office in the town.
