I know we can have a 20kg allowance as hold luggage but does anyone know if there is a size allowance as we need to take a large bubble wrapped package instead of a case with a piece of artwork in it.

Have you called the Pegasus call center in the UK?

Size of package for Pegasus flight from Stansted (sic)

If they saw the size of my 'package' I'd never be allowed to fly with any airline!!

Have you gone back to the agent you bought tickets from and asked them?

A huge box was accepted by them on Sunday from the couple in front of us.

Interestingly four couples, us included, who had all weighed luggage before check in and believed the weight to be correct, were all found to be 2kgs over and charged accordingly.

Funny that 4 separate couples from different areas all had inaccurate weighing scales!!

Oh and the check in lady had definitely had a charm by pass!

Sheila & Phil have you called your agent as John suggested in Msg 6?

Your agent should have some idea or a full answer for you.

I can't see it either.

BA have this on their site, I know it's not Pegasus but it might give some idea..

What to do with larger/bulky items:

You may take bags up to the dimensions 190cm x 75cm x 65cm (75in x 29.5in x 25.5in), including the handle, pockets and wheels.

•This allows you to take items such as sporting equipment and musical instruments etc at no additional cost.

•These larger bags can take longer to arrive from your flight and are generally delivered to a separate area of the baggage hall.

I think that the hold door might be quite restrictive around 100X80 from what I have been told so not large - but it does not feel right. I will try to get the information again for you (even though you have not used us).

They allow items like bikes to be put in hold so you should be OK - http://www.flypgs.com/en/information/general-rules.aspx

I'm guessing you might have to pay the £40 for it if they wont allow it in place of a suit case.
