Does anyone know anything about Cartridge Island near the Pia Bella? I see from their window they are offering compatible cartridges AND refilling for both Inkjet and Laser Toners. Beats the crap out of paying out for manufacturers products. I for one will be using them as I'm cheesed off with paying higher prices and faced with only one option.

Good look to them

Beware fake Cartridges MAY damage tour printer head! any warranty would not cover this.

Hooter I think you need to get upto date and realise that if you read the guarentees from the likes of Jet Tec they are companies that don't play at providing compatibles or refill inks. The days of back room refilling with poor quality have been taken over by world wide companies bringing quality products to the consumer. Research Jet Tec and you will see what I mean. All I can say is thank you Cartridge Island for bringing to us here in TRNC the option and care. Good luck.

Hooter : Sounds more like an issue with the heads. These epson cartridges are just ink tanks. They can only damage the head if the ink quality is poor.

I think the easiest way is get to the new harbour roundabout and head towards town. Past Pia Bella and Mollies cafe and as the road bends around towards the hospital it is on the left

I've just seen the guys there spend ages with an artist making sure that his work can not only be done on his printer but also he was happy with the refilled cartridges, on textured paper. They seem to listen to the problem and give it their best shot. Well done boys may it continue.

OK negativenick just phoned the lads up, there upto their necks in sorting a laser problem out. You will probably have HP300 cartridges. If its telling you they are empty just ignore the error message and continue printing anything else you may have to contact them.

Negativenick - have you had one or both cartridges refilled? What are the messages?

If you have any issues you can always bring the printer to the shop and we will look at it for you. Sorry its taken so long to contact you.

so you are ok at the moment then. pity you through them away. we can test your cartridges, refill or provide compatible cartridges AND get them to be accepted by your printer. if they get rejected by your printer there are other issues to solve.

NO you are not alone here, every sane HP user has these issues, HP/Epson spend more time trying to stop refillers than they do developing better products that are more functional - in my opinion anyway.

Any problems ring or call in

Hi

I've got the same printer and the same problem. I bought a black refill kit for 25 euro and could not get the printer to work after refilling. However, I did get it to work if I filled it before it said empty. I can buy HP XL [600 + 440 pages] 300's over the border for 34e colour, 29e for the black. Those are good prices! Why does it cost so much from some other refill companies for the ink? I have used another Girne refill shop and the printer refused to use the refill so a waste of money and time. I used to order loads of carts for the firm I used to work for in the UK from the likes of Viking Direct etc with varying degrees of sucess. Here, and with this particular printer, it seems the HP refills are the best I have found - so far!

HP300/300XL can be successfully refilled by ourselves or you can buy COMPATIBLE cartridges which can also be refilled without travelling or paying HP prices for the originals. Both refill and compatible WORK successfully in the HP printers.

Prices for refills around 25TL or compatible XL only being cheaper than HP. Its upto you we can save you the journey, make it cheaper and offer a personal interest if required.

I won't recommend refill cartridges to anyone. Always welcoming trouble..trying to save money can cost you more than that. Always buy originals. Long lasting and better quality..

raider cruise that is your opinion and everyone is entitled to it but I can assure you that that statement may have been true a few years ago but today there is a very serious multi million business around offering value for money to you the consumer.

So I feel sorry for you if you ahve been badly treated by the fringes of this refill industry but like lots of other worldwide businesses there are good ones and not so good ones.

ENRICO the cartridges for your printer CANNOT at the moment refilled but we have compatibles that will work for 25TL each. They also contain more ink as the ones that came with machine were TO7xx and are low capacity where you now need the TO8xx which are high capacity. They are in stock here.
