Can anyone recommend a professional company who will come in and remove nests from fir trees. We have been inundated with them and the council have sprayed but say they do not remove nests from trees.

Hi Jarnac, We have the same problem and our 5 month old puppy licked one and it nearly killed her, she is still very poorly and under the vet. We couldn't find any help so hubby went and purchased a tree lopper/hook blade and attached some pipe for the length. He cut down the two nests and there were hundreds all ready to come out, put petrol over them and set fire to the lot. Worked a treat. He will take the tree down bit by bit. Maggymay

Thanks for that MaggyMay. Sorry to hear about your puppy as well. Ours still cannot drink or eat on his own and we absolutely hate these caterpillars for what they have done to him. I hope his tongue does heal. It is unreal that no company will come and do them. Thanks for your advice. Hope your puppy gets better.
