Hey everyone... I have a package which I need to send to North Cyprus for my sister-in-law. What is the safest/cheapest way of doing so?The package weighs around 10 kilos. My main problem is that when I have looked at main websites such as FED-EX they ask for a postcode and the address which I provide does not manage to find any postcode results. Therefore I cannot get a quote! Sorry for the ramble, it's my first time posting anything to North Cyprus. Many Thanks Carly

Send the package to your sister in laws home address in Cyprus but do not mention Cyprus in the address. After the street number and name, then put the area, ( i.e. Alsancak/ Lapta --wherever she lives) followed by GIRNE, then MERSIN 10 Turkey. Registering the parcel normally ensures delivery within about a week to 10 days.

Thank you for the replies. I hear that companies such as Fedex and UPS do not operate in North Cyprus. Which company would be ok to use?Or could I just send it thought the Post Office? Also is there any reason why I shouldn't mention Cyprus?(Just wondered) Many Thanks Carly

air parcel post is safe and reasonable in price, you can send parcels up to 20 kg. The parcels come from UK to Kyrenia post office in around 5-6 days and she will have to clear the box from the parcel post at the bottom of the post office n kyrenia which works three days a week; monday, wednesday and friday from 9.00 till 12.00 and a customs officer will inspect the parcel for customs duty. Do not send any medicines, liquids, religious books and food stuff. They can only be cleared under permission from the health office. Keep the receipt for chase if required.

Try DHL they actually have a site here in TRNC and i have used them for important stuff and they have delivered every time...just make sure you have both sets of contact details on . There are also some men that go back wards and forwards From Uk and Cyprus (man in white van) very economical will bring over approx 30kilo for about £25 or so however you can never tell when they will leave or go ....if your not in a rush though they are a cheap way of getting stuff over ..
