Can anyone give me any feedback on adsl providers please? Your experiences with your service and value for money etc.

I'm with Kibris on Line no bad experiences 75tl pm for 2048, their customer service department are helpful.

The only consideration is the distance of your phone connection via overhead cables from/to the Telecom substation. As I understand it if that distance is great it can slow your connection speed down at peak times. Which is what happens to mine from time to time but then I am 4 miles away up in the mountains from the substation.

I have ADSL with Xrealnet (via Haypem in Alsancak who are their agents). Have just renewed it - 550TL for the year for 4 Mbs. No problems with it at all and Haypem are much cheaper than anybody else. Have only had to get them out twice during the past year and they have fixed the problem very quickly both times. I believe that they may have a cheaper introductory price for new customers.

How do you find out how far you are from the substation - will the telephone company tell me that? I am in Karsiyaka not far from the coastal road.



Where are Haypem situated Nostradamus - are they on the main road?

IF you have the option of ADSL over wireless - and you are close to the exchange - take it every time..



Ask for an estimated speed - based on your location - or check with someone who has a connection VERY close by.

Message 4: Go along the main road from Karsiyaka towards Girne, immediately past Green Petrol at Alsancak, Haypem are on your right. They sell white goods, TVs etc as well as doing internet.
