| know I am probably lining myself up for a torrent of abuse here, but do any regular poster know of anything arranged for watching the Royal Wedding? my folks have a place in Alsancak and are hoping to go to a bar or hotel to watch the happy event - pref on the Lapta strip

| Ron The Waterfront for certain, Mambos are arranging a big event as are JKs and many more I beleive. I cant wait. There was a posting similar last week where by all the venues were . I know the Old Mill are also planning a big event and maybe Midsummer house, You will have plenty of choice. I think the waterfront has several large screens. |

| Phil and Lilli thank you; My folks will be quite happy at the Waterfront with their wee Union Jacks!
I did see LancsLass's post but it didn't really say much, just started the perennial debate. It only mentioned a place called Celebrity but mum emailed them and they had no plans.

| Ron the celebrity belongs to the waterfront or vice versa. I think that is mainly for sports events. The waterfront is a beautiful setting. they will enjoy it xxx |

| As an ex MD,I feel it would be fantastic publicity for some bars to advertise "NO ROYAL WEDDING HERE !"
I would be pleased to have a drink there.

Plans are well under way for showing the Wedding at the Waterfront on the Lapta Strip.
