AJ defender of all things local and well known sackcloth to ashes brigade member does not set a good example to our younger readers.



His photo shows him drinking beer promotes alcohol, this and other members photos doing similar should be removed.



After All if our hardworking beyond reproach moderators wish this to be a true community board they need to take on some responsibility.



Maybe a glass of local orange may be better.

This is very small-minded of you and a worse example to younger members than a man having a drink. Tolererance is more important and the acknowledgement that people have the right of choice just like you. If the Forum offends you on such a minor item then perhaps you might want to consider finding another Forum, possibly run by perfect people (if there is such a thing) AJ does a very good job on here and I doubt that many people would want to do that job!

More to the point, I suggest some of the moderators should set a better example by improving their written English and grammar. I make the exception of Ismet, whose English is excellent and as a second language, on par to that of Hans. Mistakes will be made by all, even Jeannie & Groucho but the blaring blunders that some of the moderators make rest in kindergarten!

My missus told me beer was becoming too expensive and i have to stop drinking.

Then i caught her spending 65 quid on makeup.

I asked her "how come i have to give up stuff and she didn't"?

She said "makeup was to make her look attractive to me".

I said "beer does that"...

The fact that AJ is drinking a beer or a shandy didnt have anything to do with it, only to illustrate that if one sets himself up as" holier than thou" then you have to uphold those principles.



AJ constantly applies dual standards to his moderation, 'he has favorites' both in members and in businesses here.



My point is that this board is not a level playing field, multiple posting of advertising still goes on. The thread closed post is used unjustifiably on all to many occasions.
