Do any of you fly this route, if so which websites do you check the prices on please? And before I get any smart alec responses from those who would prefer me to look to travel from Ercan (which I have always done so in the past), I am looking from there but at the mo it is very expensive with Pegasus for the dates I need to book for! Thank you

Cyprus Airways have ceased doing the Larnaca Stanstead route this year, you could always try Thomas Cook or Thomson.

Sue Msg 6 - I am away at present so it is all down to Alan - he was a little overloaded over the last 36 hours. Hopefully will catch up over the next few hours (he will not be at work over the weekend though). We will do what we can but a reminder email from you with all he details flights names and phone number will go down well with him. Tom

best prices are from the airlines themselves , always cut out the middle man in any transaction you make in life , ie speak to the organ grinder not the monkey ?

Rowlo that is not always true it depends on the airline and the monkey. If you use an agent you have extra defences when the airline get it wrong and they might know more as well as agents usually having more experience than you.

well that depends on which monkey you you choose ? or which organ grinder , most agents are taking a cut of the fare , its a no brainer really , cut out the agent ie monkey , go straight to ,shall we say pegasus , ba, thomas cook , thomson , all reputable airlines imho , organ grinder gives best price ?

Ryan Msg 12 - In some cases you are right that the airlines might give you the same price as they charge agnets but some actualy offer better rates to their agnts because they value the experince and knowledge that they can offer the clients. Your choice but most agents are not monkeys not like some of the airlines who supply them. When an airline goes down or just turns you away as CTA did; ask those who booked from agents what help they had and those who followed your advice and went direct what help they had. My clients were very happy with what we could do for them and I know that applies to other agents too. Were you one of the very many who lost their flights and then called us at IAH for assistance but had gone direct?

No reply to flightholiday Msg 16? Does that mean that they are right and we should use agents (maybe as well as airlines or even insted of them)? A small price to pay for their help and your peace of mind?
