IP addess conflicts

I am trying to use two laptops simultaneously with my wireless ADSL router.



The problem is that both laptops have exactly the same IP address.



One laptop is continually connected as it is used for my Skype phone/landline.



Please advise. I am not an expert, but I can follow simple detailed instructions. Any help/advice would be appreciated as long as it does not cause additional problems!

the ip address relates to your account with the internet supplier - not the actual computers being used there...........

What is the conflicting address ?

What version of OS are you running - XP, Vista or Win7 ?
