Hi all, an urgent request to find Paul West. My friends wife, Sara @ Top Dog Hotel aske me to post this, she has been contacted and told that his dog is chained without food and water at his villa in seaside Esentepe. Naturally concern is for both him and his dog. If anyone can confirm this is correct then they will go and collect the dog which is a large doberman. So if anyone could give her a call and confirm this is the case or that they are in contact with Paul and ask him to call asap. 0533 - 8314245 or if anyone has a neighbours number that would help. Thanks.

My god this is disgusting....can any one confirm whether this dog is now in the care of someone who can help it back to health. I cant believe that someone would just go off like that, leave the poor dog to almost starve to death.

Message 6 - please read things properly. Gates has already said (on the link provided by Nurse Chris) that he has contacted Paul West and he is in the States. So, not really missing at all - just left his animal to starve, apparently.

more here say then , why would a normal person do that to a dog ? every one is so quick to jump on the bandwagon , this is why the wheels fall of so rapidly ?

It's the dog that is important in all of this, not important (at this stage) whether he was left or whether people asked to look after the dog did not. Save the dog, then sort the culprit!

Hi Thanks everyone. I have spoken with Sara and she knows this dog well. He was unwell for a while and she got him medical care which the owner failed to pay for by all accounts. She did offer to take the dog from him but he refused to let go. The vet said the dog isn't sick he had been starved. I will go and report back to her and see what can be done.

Hi Blede just read you post and sorry had to say that if the dog has been starved he must be 'sick'=unwell ! How long has he been left like this ? he is no doubt getting weak through lack of food and water. A starved dog is unwell and his organs will begin to suffer too.He will have lost energy and end up very lethargic.. How far away do you live from this dog.and dose anyone know how long the owner has left for...enjoying himself..this is an outrageous way to treat his loyal and loving dog. Maybe a foster home could be found ? Good luck. Spider,X

I have just had a phone call from Sara, Paul has been in contact with her. He is in the UK attending a funeral not in the USA! From what i have been told there is a lot more to all this than meets the eye. The dog is being collected this morning and will be cared for by her until Paul returns. Thanks again everyone for your help.

Always is more than one side to a story, but oftentimes this board only gives one........I don't know the bloke, but do believe he could never show his face in TRNC again, if all that was said about him as a person, was without doubt....which it now appears, it isn't.........maybe someone has let him down, in caring for the animal......

OK, i will relay the story. Paul is at a funeral of a friend in the UK,who died of cancer. The dog was not chained. The dog did have food , water and someone caring for it. The dog had a weight gain problem for a long time. The dog is safe and being cared for. Two sides to every story.

Gates would you like to comment or speak up as to why you fabricated this story? You clearly didn't speak to Paul West , you didn't speak to the muhtar as he can remember and clearly knew that people were at the villa taking care of the dog. So what is your problem?

as i said , people with nothing better to do , soon make up storys from fiction / hearsay , not fact , msg12 you must be a spiteful person to condemn someone without really knowing the facts ?
