What to do??? Shall I bring them out or can you easily get them in TRNC? Only issue I have is my bed linen is from the UK, would quilts from TRNC fit? If prices are comparable and size isn't an issue, I'll support the local economy .,,,, So, advce please!!

We brought ours from GB, found pricing of bedding in NC double the price as in GB. The selection wasn't as good in NC and Egyptian cotton sheets were extortionate! It really shouldn't be an issue where you support, its your money, every one is very happy to take it from you! Some more than others, so don't feel guilty bringing your goods over ....

The local duvets are a different size to the UK ones, so if you are buying your bed linen in the UK then you will need to get your duvets there too. As DC says there isnt the same choice here and it is more expensive so if you can possibly bring it all with you then do.

Bring both winter, summer duvets, pillows and bedding - it is very expensive here. Argos sell those vacuum pack bags and you'd be amazed what you can get into a suitcase if you use these. Even if you pay the airline for an extra bag and excesses baggage, it will still work out MUCH cheaper than buying here.

Hello - there are now linen shops in Girne - Having said that, we brought ours from the UK, and Tinkie is right - the vaccum packed ones are great and you can get plenty in your luggage...

Bring all that stuff from the UK. Much better quality and fit. The vac pac bags are great for reducing the bulk.

Yes, I would suggest you bring from UK. I made the mistake of only bringing less than half I needed, thinking I could get really good, super quality Egyptian cotton sheets etc., and really good quality Turkish towels and wraps. How wrong I was, the quality in 2005 was not good at all, badly made and second quality. Things might be different but from what people are saying in this thread it would appear not. Tango1
