This afternoon there was a brief wind storm and power cut in Alsancak. I put aside some decorative tiles I had intended to put on walls and spent a couple of hours chasing builder's rubbish etc which was airborne into the garden, knocking over garden pots and filling the pool with plastic bags etc. I was hoping that the outcome would not be that I should have spent the money to replace roof tiles. Suddenly there was a loud rumbling noise and a massive dust cloud over the pool. A neighbour who has built a large 3 storey house amongst bungalows had built a pool 12 feet above ground topped off by an even higher trio of expensive, natural brick arches which appeared to have no practical purpose other than to block our view of beautiful sunsets. Ah well, live and let live I thought, but it is now a pile of rubble on his pool deck, brought down by the wind, and no rebar for him to salvage. I should not snigger but I hope to remain happier that his builder is likely to be very soon !

Oops, sorry last line, "this, that, these, and those" Delete "that" insert "than".
