Pool filters should have their sand changed every 3 to 4 years for maximum efficiency.

This is not a nice or easy job in many instances, particularly once it gets hot.

We can do this for you at a cost of 1.25 pounds per kilo. This includes removing the old sand and supplying and filling the filter with new sand.

If you inspect the filter you may see a label which will tell you the total weight of the sand.

Of course, many will want to do this sand change themselves, but whoever does it, it should be done.

Ralph96,

approx 140-150kg depending on size of filter.

martinD41,

We don't sell sand. We buy it in bulk for our own use. Try Siba or Ofsetsan.

We had to import 20 tonnes (minimum order) of Zeolite, which we did about 5 years ago. We sold it/used it all up, but it took 5 years.

It is much better than sand and the same price. No-brainer really, but TRNC is very conservative about alternatives. We hardly had our door beaten down.
