have been looking for a while and have found two places high on my list!! i know it is real sad move to sunny north cyprus and have a hunt for a good sunday roast!!!!

Altinkaya Jam BAR (NOT THE HOTEL PART)

Efendis

I have just had the most fab roast dinner!!! at Altinkaya Jam Bar. A real treat! The most scrumptious roast beef melt in your mouth special!!

we had a choice of three starters. i went for deviled chicken livers delicious

far to many scrumptious fresh veg!

loads of puddings to choose from we both went for the famous Sticky Toffee Pudding and İce cream.

both our meals and bottle of red wine only cost us 68tl amazing!!!!

would highly recommend this bar!! great atmosphere and lovley grub!!

now as my nan would say SQTFTB!

You must book to avoid disappointment at both places

The Crows Nest in Karaman do an excellent roast lunch with masses of fresh vegetables and puddings too - if you can still manage one!

Had a really good Sunday lunch at the Fez today. There was a choice of beef or lamb, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, cauliflower cheese, cabbage, carrots, Yorkshire pudding and gravy! Cooked really nicely and came to the table hot. What more can you ask. Best to book in advance.

Al Shaheen (both venues), Midsummer House, Efendi, Patina.

All road tested by us, or should that be roast tested?

All excellent.

Went to the Red Lion yesterday and had a really nice meal. The prawn starters were lush !! A mix of pork and beef , massive yorkshires and so much veg we couldn't finish it all !! Will definitely be returning !!

I enjoyed a very nice Sunday roast at the Fez it is just a nice place to go, it has character and atmosphere, which is unusual here.
