Budget for wedding in Northern Cyrpus

Hi, we are looking to get married in Northern Cyprus probably next September, and I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea of likely budget required. In particular we are really keen on having it at Bellapais Abbey, and I am considering the use of a wedding planner but this may depend on assiciated costs. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

thanks for that AS. I am not a wedding planner but I know a lot of nice people who are. Equally i do not think it fair to contact them and waste their time if you are thinking of doing it yourself, as they do run businesses and they are very caring, efficient and helpful, but Inever think it is fair of you learning what to do via them and then do it yourself. sorry if that sounds barsh, but you have to make a choice.

when you say \Bellapais Abbey, I assume you mean the most popular venue of Kybele Restaurant . so what do you need to know? How many guests, flowers, cars, photographers, video, what kind of ceremony, what kind of reception, cakes etc etc. The planners can tell you who to contact, OR you can do it independently, especially if you know anyone out here who would do it for you. It is not difficult to do, but remember if anythikng goes wrong then you can't point a finger at anyone else. Independently you can book the restaurant who will take care of everything their end

.... the decoration, the flowers even, the food etc, etc, but of course you have paper work to get done, and although not dififcult can be challenging. who is the best photographer? You can book that - in fact you can do everything yourself, but if you want to let others take the strain and then just float along on your perfect day, then it can be worth paying a wedding planner. You have one listed at the top of this page and there are others - google, or ask someone.

I honestly think this is one of the nicest, cheapest places to get wed. The south costs double, but the entire place is Aphrodites island, so that must speak for itself. Hope that helps a little! good luck with it all, and hope you do decide to come here. We all need all the love we can get, even it is just enjoying seeing others celebrating their love.

sorry I haven't replied as i'm studying for exams at the moment as well as working so only managed to log on again this evening. Thank you for all your comments, i do appreciate all the input. We're going to look into all the links & contacts provided. Only just started thinking about plans, so we don't really know any details yet, just wanted to get an idea of possible costs. All we know is we want to have it in Bellapais Abbey itself, but not sure on evening venue or other arrangements yet. Sorry for mis-spelling "Cyprus" before, I'll try and remember to check my messages before posting them in future. I will keep checking the site when I can to get ideas and will probably post again soon, thanks again

So glad you have proved yourself for real! and don't worry about spelling mistakes. The best of us make mistakes whenthe fingers fly too quickly! You mention for the second time tha tyou want to have the ceremony in bellapais Abbey, but I hope you realise that this means in the Kybele Restaurant next door. there is a grass area there, or another spot around the back of the restaurant, but you are not allowed to have any ceremonys in historic sites.

Just one other piece of information, if you wanted to contact the Kybele direct, then why not e mail the manager Ennis on kybeke@kybele.biz, or tajke a look at http://www.kybele.biz or telephone 0392 815 7531. Of course if you decide on a wedding planner they will get a quote for you. You can do the same for an evening venue and if you want any contact details, just ask.

There is an excellent singer in the North, called Easy G, he sings Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Matt Monro, Elvis plus many more, brilliant at weddings, really gets everyone going for dancing after the meal. I have his phone number if you are interested.

My dad got married at Bellapais Abbey 3 years ago, it was absolutely beautiful, they had a wedding planner, could find out details for you if you so wish!



Their pictures were amazing, and everything was amazing. About 20 odd of us there and couldnt have wished for a better day, well maybe a bit cooler!

Your planner can give you full details Mervlijen, and theere are quite a few tochoose from. at the moment there are problems over entertainers and events, and again your planner can fill you in. Oops, silly me, I don't think you have a planner. Check with your brother about the latest and entertainers! Or write to me and I will explain. x x x
